The historical foundation of our company started with Lafayette E. Nunley Sr. who obtained his training back in the 1950's. The brother's came together after working with a number of established piano manufacturing corporation in the Los Angeles area. With the training and knowledge accumulated the brothers started a small family business under the name "The Nunley Brother" located in the Industrial heart of Los Angeles back in the 1960's. Lafayette E. Nunley Later went on to open Lafayette & Sons established in North Hollywood, CA as his son Phenoyd E. Nunley understudied obtaining the family trade of piano refinishing and rebuilding. It was Phenoyd that decided to reformat the business structure of the company for expansion. Lafayette & Sons quickly started building a quick presences, which later evolved into Classic Woods today.
